Why The State Of Nevada Should Be On Your Travel Listidaplswn
Have you ever been into the state of Nevada before? If you have come from the California side, you will be astounded at how quickly the landscape changes. For example, just miles before the border between California and Nevada, all of the pine trees begin to disappear. You will be met by a large mountain range, followed by desert terrain with sagebrush and dry lakes. This will lead you into this somewhat barren terrain, but you will end up going into one of two cities.
What Can You Do In Reno?
Reno is a smaller city by comparison to Las Vegas, but it still has a lot to offer. It has many different casinos including Circus Circus, the Atlantis, and the El Dorado. These are beautiful places to go, done with exquisite style and taste. There are also theaters that you can visit, and activities that you can do such as golfing, hiking, and if you are traveling during the winter and early spring, you can head up to Lake Tahoe for some skiing. And if you do decide to go up that high, up this very steep hill, you are going to see some of the most unique trees along the way. These are up at about 8000 feet, and then you will drop down into the Tahoe area, watching the lake grow larger as you approach.
What Can You Do In Lake Tahoe?
When many people think of Lake Tahoe, they are thinking about California. However, part of the city is actually on the Nevada side. You can see the distinction when you are driving through because suddenly there are casinos where there were none before. It all surrounds the beautiful Lake Tahoe in the center, considered one of the deepest lakes in the world. It is also crystal clear, something that is a sight to behold and is certainly worth visiting if you happen to be in the northern portion of Nevada.
If you do decide to go south, you are going to travel through Carson City, and eventually you will reach Las Vegas. If you’ve never been to Vegas before, then you certainly want to consider spending a few days there as well. It’s one of those destinations that you are simply going to have a lot of fun at, regardless of what time of the year you go. Visit both North and South Nevada to fully understand why people love this state.
